Frosty Winter Weather Mod v6.4
By Coming from a country where I see snow from Late November to mis to late April or even early may. I know what it is like to drive in snow.
When I was asked to test this mod, I thought why not. Let’s see how this mod adds up to real life driving in snow.
Well I tell you that this is a nice mod, there is snow in some places and very little in other’s.
I also found that the road was wet in a lot of place’s, BUT there was NO spray from the wheels on my truck or trailer.
But what I did find very interesting, was that it had started to snow when I was driving my truck. Now that is a real nice touch.
Now the snow fall did not last long, but again I still did not see any spay come off my wheel’s. I think that if the Modder read’s this, they may want to see if the can add this in a future update of this mod.
Now, would I recommended this mod? Yes, But I would like to see some more updates on this mod.

- Download this mod.
- Extract it!
- Paste the .scs file(s) into your My Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod folder.
- Run game ~> Edit profile ~> Enable mod.

FINALLY! This is what I’ve been looking for! All the current winter mods were full arctic circle, or else you had to drive around looking like it was June when it’s December in real life.
Great mod as I can see. Everything is as blend as you see. Really appreciate the mod developer. Better than other winter mods where in the map was like Antarctica filled with trees, roads, trucks, cars, buildings, etc.

One important thing to know with this mod – it requires you DISABLE any existing weather mods OR you can download a version of this mod that does not alter the weather (which is what I’m doing since stock weather and lighting is awful and Improved Weather is my preferred mod).
I think you should disable other weather mods :D.
I was just repeating what I’d read. The “no-weather” version is for 2.0, and then I guess you can also apply the 2.1 update. I am *only* running 2.1 *and* I left Improved Weather r5 (not r4, which is broken in 1.15 anyway) enabled, and it still works fine.
The weather will be improved in the next release, darker nights and less visibility in snow. But in the next download pack I will include the “no weather” version if people want use other lighting or weather mods.
Thank you for the reply! I *really* like your winter mod, I’m just used to IWR. And I meant weather and lighting in the stock “vanilla ETS2”, not stock weather and lighting in your mod. Thanks again for your hard work, mate!

this mod is great, only one problem…street lights in the cities don’t turn on when is already dark…you have few hours early morning and early evening where is really dark and not realistic….is there something i can do to fix that?

Will Potter has got nothing to do with this mod!! The lighting should come on at 5pm and go out at 9am, if this isn’t happening for you then another mod is conflicting, you need to disable other weather and lighting mods when using this one.
Oh, ok got it, i have Promods 1.81+RusMap+Brutal Environment+ Henkins Traffic mod, honestly i don’t know what to disable…
Maybe putting the mod in the last position can help?
I posted a link to my “no weather” version but it’s waiting for approval. It’s Brutal Environment that’s causing the conflict, it’s a weather and lighting mod. Either disable it or open it up and find the env_data.sii file, it’s in the def folder and change the times the lights come on.

Interesting I bet it affects the truck physics, like you may slide off the pavement or lane drifting.

Will Potter, unfortunately this version actually only work on 1.18, it crashes in Scandinavia, I’m making a separate version for 1.19.

I am the author. I thought it was working fine on 1.19 but it crashes in the Scandinavian DLC, so this version is only for 1.18, I’ll bring out a version for 1.19 in a few days.

Everything is okay now!
Not compatible with IWR, but also brings the horrible stock lighting bloom back which is NOT present in stock 1.22.
The download link has not been updated on this page, it’s still v5.3. On my SCS forum page for this mod (address in description txt file) there is an addon mod which reduces HDR.

No reason why it shouldn’t appear in Mod Manager other than perhaps the download didn’t complete properly. Download it, no need to extract as it’s already extracted then drop it in your ETS2 mod folder.
Everytime I try to download a file I get a security error code plus the following… BSOD A suspicious connection is trying to access your computer…
