ZIL 4421 + Review
By There really isn’t much to this ZIL 4421 truck. You get NO light options, 5 engine type’s, 2 transmissions, 2 chassis type’s, and the standard paint.
The engine in this truck, sounds rough, more like an old style gas engine, other then a diesel engine.
I drove this truck for a few hundred miles in game, and I found it to be a stable mod with out any trouble at all.
I did some research on this truck before I drove it, and I found that it is an older style Russian truck.
These trucks were well made for the time. I guess you may or may not find some on the road today.
In this new version:
- Adapted to new versions
- Added two new engines and transmission
- Added two-wheel-drive chassis
- now the orders will be tuning option with the most powerful engine
- Added manifest for the mod Manager
- Added a second mode wipers
- Did the rims and tires for 1.17 and above
- Since the original was dirty and matted, I “washed” and “polished”
- Prescribed in the companies in Europe
- Prescribed additionally the dealership in England
- Prescribed in the companies(orders agencies) in England
- Did it in the form of a fix for those who like clean!

this is a decent truck it is what it is.
This modell is actually a classic. Older simmers among you might recall the various GTS mods that were availlable modelling this truck.
Seriously, I guess you all already knew it is a russian brand. To some however, it may be news that it’s actually the oldest soviet brand, based, you’ve guessed it, in Moskwa, and nowadays 90% state owned. Over the years, ZiL chassis’ have been as versatile as in my country the Mercedes Unimog. It is the one sturdy can do it all, simple in design, therefore easy to repair and maintain to this day, and affordable by comparison, if not so heavy duty oriented like KrA3 and KamA3.
That philosophy is pretty much mirrored in this mod. This is your average everyday workhorse, not a show piece in a Scania V8 meeting. Looking at the interiour, I think it quite successfully creates that athmosphere.
The exteriour, however, still leaves some room for improvement. It obviously has a “used” look, which is a nice trait, but at least for my taste, the surfaces look more like plastic than like metal.
The soundset is, as said above, a decent, rough and bully growling, which, when driven realistically, leaves an impression of raw power. The video, does not quite catch that, I’m sorry to say, for the driver flips through the gears (automatic I suppose) like in a WRC group B car.
Bottom line: If you had related impressions in real life (like driving a Renault R4 car in the early 80s or something equally simple) or still are not so spoiled by modern conveniences, if you know the real thing or want to feel what driving russian street really was like in earlier days, you might like or even love this mod; otherwise you perhaps may find it boring.
As far as I’m concerned, the model has earned it’s place in my collection, but I’d love to see graphics being a little more up to date without spoiling the athmosphere, and the interiour SLIGHTLY more personalized.

I love this little truck. It sounds like no other truck and i love it! It is stable on the road and thanks to it’s big engine it can pull just about anything. 9/10 for me.

I think something is missing to modders. almost all I have these kind of message, and I use 64 bits version:
