Volvo VT880 + Review
By This Volvo VT880 is interesting. I think that this truck is the little sister to the Volvo VNL 780, I am not really sure.
With this truck you get 1 Cab, 1 Chassis, several engines, 2 transmissions. You also get the standard amount of paint.
You do not get any extra light’s, or horns or anything like that.
The interior is clean, most of the buttons and switch will work in this truck.
I did find a couple of things I was not to happy with. When you look at the outside of the truck, mainly the front, you will not see any mirrors on the front. But when you sit in the driver’s seat, the mirrors are mounted to the front of the truck. Also when you are sitting in the driver seat, you have a dashboard table on the passenger side, but you can not see the other mirror on that side of the hood.
Also, there is a IPhone mounted on the driver’s side of the truck on the left side of the wind shield. I found that this phone is a distraction when I am trying to drive at night. I think this should be moved to a different spot in the cab.
With that said, I will recommend this truck to any one that want’s to drive it.
Also, if there is a time that the mod author is willing to make changes to this truck, I will gladly test it again.

- Removed useless objects from interior and exterior
- Added wheels
- Added dummies for lights
- Fixed minor bugs
- Added in the Cummins ISX Signature series diesel in, instead of the stock sounds.

- Paste the .scs file(s) into your My Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod folder.

Ok, I drove it for a while and I have a review.
So I went to my local volvo dealer and bought this truck, It was lacking in parts. It had 2 transmissions and a few engines, But that was about it, the things on the interior like the Iphone, the curtain and stuff couldnt be removed. The Alacola wheel was the only one that really changed anything. With the 2nd transmission and the 750 HP engine, I went ahead onto the road. Leaving the dealer, I noticed my first problem, The steering. The truck Had a horrible steering, I had to back up and turn more each turn I made. On the autobahn, the small curves were even troublesome, the truck kept merging into the other lanes. After I turned up my steering sensetivity a ton, It wasnt bad. Currently, I would NOT reccomend this truck. Wait until it is updated with more tuning parts and hopefully better steering.
I personally liked the truck, but I made a few changes that made it more enjoyable. Things like the engine (realistic Volvo D16s 500 – 605 hp that the VT880 used), 10-13-18 spd. Eaton Fuller transmissions with real ranges, and I added better Volvo engine sounds. It works perfect for me without all the fancy tuning that many other trucks may have. Just my personal touch that made the truck more enjoyable. Working on removing the curtains and the board over the dash on the right, but beyond that, the truck is nice.
I have tried this truck and as a retired truck driver here are a few observations of my own. I have driven Volvo’s like this one and steering is horrible but you have a long nose too. I would like to see the offering of an 18 speed transmission with this truck because you can get a 1500 hp engine but only an 11 speed transmission. Very unrealistic. Overall the truck is fairly good, lose the curtains that somewhat obstruct views and maybe offer a few tuning parts like a grill guard and you would have an even better truck.
I have a problem with this mod. I downloaded the mod but there aren’t any SCS files. there are some folders but no SCS files. can you help me please ?
