Scania R2008 Standalone v3.0 + Review
By This is the reworked version of Scania R2008 by 50k with new chassis (midlift and taglift), new templates, new skins, new mirror and hand handle, new lightbox, interior, sounds and some fixed bugs.
What’s new in this version?
- Added 6×2 variants with rear liftable axle.
- Fixed all bugs on 1.17
This is a really nice truck. you get a lot of options with it. Several cab’s, engines, 2 transmissions, lots and I mean lots of lights. You only get the standard paint with the metallic paint option.
I drove this truck across North Africa on my TSM map. Although it is a real nice truck, I am not really happy with the open pipe sound, maybe some of you are, but I am not. I also found that there was a whistling sound in the cab, almost like there was a air leak from one of the windows. I also found that, even with the in game steering sensitivity way down, the truck steering was very sensitive. I really don’t know why it is that way, but that’s what I had to deal with.
But like I said, this is a really nice truck.
I will recommend this truck to anyone that wants to use it.

We have a version of this truck for 1.15 and I think the version for 1.16 will be out soon!

Is the red truck on the right how a fully upgraded Scania R2008 truck of this mod looks like? Or what has “Scania by GTMike” to do with this? I haven’t been able to find this one in particular on the SCS forums thread
Okay the game crashes right after I open the truck selection of a Scania dealer… I’ve enabled all 3 .scs packs included
Not working with 1.16. I am using the 2.3 version from the original SCS SW forums topic and it works fine. My game won’t crash if I enable only the Skin_R2008.scs and Addons_R2008.scs file from your mod. Is that fine and won’t I miss anything?
Also, why is it called “standalone”, when it still replaces one Scania truck?
1. This version is just for ETS 2 1.17, I think.
2. There are two Scania in Euro Truck Simulator 2 are Scania R and Streamline. This truck doesn’t replace anything!
Okay, that is probably happening because I haven’t enabled that one file, and I misunderstood that your mod changes the original 2008 addon instead of working in parallel.
