Trucksim Map v6.3 + Review
By This is the new v6.1 update of Trucksim Map for Euro Truck Simulator 2 with new cities and bugs from the previous version have been fixed!
Changes for Version 6.5:

Trucksim Map v6.3 Changelog:
- Works fine with Euro Truck Simulator 2 v1.24+ all DLCs.
- New cities in Egypt.
- Rebuilt Cairo.
- New extension of A7.
- New connection between Austria and Hungary.
One of the best map mods. This is a big map which, until now I am still exploring! The game runs very smooth with TSM, so far I haven’t seen any bugs in my way, and works very well!
Great roads to see. Let’s see Africa first.
This was the first TSM part of the map to appear(started from TSM 1.0). Our first impression was though TSM is an Africa map, so of course you get to explore the deserts, yeah and the cities as well and even the beaches. In the latest version it has been improved a lot. I get to explore deserts smoothly, I feel that I’m in Africa and the atmosphere is just beautiful. Not only that; going in Africa somewhere in the south western part of the map looks very awesome with the mountainous landscape together with good vegetation with roads going up and down. It does not really make you board easily, very astonishing. Desert landscape will be located in the middle of Africa, and normal stuffs to the east.
Greece
This was 2nd TSM part of the map to appear( started from version 2.0). It seems that TSM wants to connect Africa to Europe by adding Greece. So TSM was not only an African map. In the 1st versions it was a very buggy Greece. Before there are some car glitches in hilly terrains, and some mysterious damages in my truck. Now, to this latest version, very smooth. I was able to explore the cliffs of Greece, the mountains, the hilly terrains, waters and everything in Greece. Some zigzag roads and highways to explore and very great Greece map. Cities with or without ports are great to explore in this country.
Italy
This was another TSM part of the map to appear almost prior to Greece & France (started from version 2.0). Italy on that time was only 1/8 of Italy. Little bugs occured. To the recent version it has now nearly the whole Italy. Beautiful Italy even in the Mt. Vesuvius in Naples has been seen in this map! I have seen also the mountains in the northern Italy which is quite awesome. Itlalian city ports and docks were great to look at, and you can find the ports in the eastern and western coasts of Italy. You may go to the airport even in Italy to go somewhere else 😉
France
This was another TSM part of the map to appear almost prior to Greece and Italy (started from version 2.0). The 1st parts of France were in the southern coasts (cities like Nice, Marseille.) To this version almost the whole France was included. Beautiful plain landscape & some mountainous regions, great highways and plains to explore. Southern coasts were a whole somehow real to me as if I’m on a holiday while driving at the south of France.
Spain & Portugal
This was the 5th TSM part of the map to appear (started from version 3.0) Spain was a great map, though it gave little frame loss and of course some bugs. To this version, Spain map is still expanding and reworking, as some parts in Spain do not have roads and cities yet. Though it’s like that, I really like the atmosphere there. The main part here in Spain is the farming landscape and amazing bridges. Some places are great to take pictures. I have also saw some landmarks here.
Denmark
Just added to TSM map I think in version 2.x. It just added. Nothing to really tackle about that, as it adds the European map there.
I am very impressed about how they create the map. Every single country has a different environment and atmosphere which is so, so amazing!
Very big map. Right now I’m still exploring as it should be. I have given a lot of information already about TSM map. I’m a fan of this map so you should have the information given.
Egypt
So let’s start. Obviously I have to go to the rebuilt part of TSM which is in Egypt (How I wish they did a lot more just like ProMods, but anyways!) as I expected I would see Egyptian Pyramids. New companies were added and looks great for me. For some weird reason whenever I overspeed you would be able to hear the *police siren sound but when you stop overspeeding it stops. Nevertheless you won’t get fine unless there is a cam to spot you and then you get fine. You would also see some new buildings a Muslim Palace I’ve seen in Cairo and Mosque I believe – and exclusive TSM repair shop with the video of something.
I love the pyramids, which I will post some photos about them tomorrow.
The rebuild of Cairo. Well this is tough to review since the rebuild is quite disappointing. Out of 10 I would give it 5 or 6, though I’ve seen things that are appealing, there are just too many stuffs that appear out of the ordinary and not based in Cairo, like the airport for example. If you look at the airport (I may give the picture as well tomorrow) it is seen built just below a plateau, and the city seems to be in a plateau. The airport is small and when you go and go to other places, you don’t fly, you ferry. Same goes to the airport in Rome. Don’t forget the icon is the anchor.
How i wish they did something way better than that. It seems as if they rebuild it too fast and too quick. Plus there were some heavy lags when entering Cairo. It looks like the issue was the loading of modules and buildings that took quite some time and much non-understandable the buildings aren’t that much of HD like in ProMods. I wonder if it’s just my i7 processor or the makers or ETS2 or the other mods i have.
The rest of TSM look the same, nothing change. It took them a very long time to make a major update where in fact their update isn’t what you really expect much.

I just couldn’t wait till the next version, so I backed up all my files, downloaded and installed this map. My first delivery was Aalborg to Tangier, then Tangier to Athina. What a great map. I have found it very stable and have no issues at all. I didn’t change my profile and it’s as sweet as. On my way to Tangier, I came across a plane crash, damn near got stuck doing a U turn… The map is a credit to the creators of it..
…and …Where are Pyramid ..?? :-))

Does anyone have the correct zoom_uplift figures so the whole map can be viewed? Thanks in advance.
Both the values in the game.sii of TSM and Russmap allow you to scroll to any corner of the map, so if you cannot see a certain section of the map, you must have an active mod with a higher priority that has the wrong map values.
Notice that there are several sound mods out there that come with a modified game.sii to change the volume of outside sounds inside your truck. Unfortunately, this is also done in game.sii. If the author used the standard map, you run into this problem. The easiest way around this is to make a “defaullt map mods.scs” with your personal settings, and keep it always on top. That’s how I do it. When I added Russ map, I copied its game.sii into my mod to make sure I can see the whole map, and altered its sound settings to my preferences. I also keep a customized economy.sii in that mod. as long as you keep your mod on top, you will always have your settings regardless what you add.
PS: I see you may have found out yourself, but my comment might still help others with the same problem.

The mod that had changed the view zoom options was NDM_Standard_ets2v1.20…it was simply a matter of editing the game_data.sii

Are you a “As real as it gets” driver? Then do the following: Start a new profile, rig your rank progress to be very slow (economy.sii, like 5-to 10000 Xp per rank or more), choose the Ruhr area in Germany as your starting point (Essen, Duisburg, Wuppertal, Dortmund etc – Essen is dead center), choose two notches of just in time skill as your first skill upgrades to prevent cargo shortage and then everything else except the range skill. Buy a truck that has no built in GPS in its interior. Why all that?
The places in this map are so nicely individualised that you might wanna learn your tracks like a real driver, so you don’t need the GPS. There are tons of landmarks and unique buildings, and also tons of individual road signs to help you navigate, so once you’ve driven a certain route 3 or 4 times “there and back again” (no Hobbit’s tale this time), you don’t need your GPS at all.
Once you do that, you come to appreciate how real this map has become. You will feel like knowing every pothole by its first name, like driving around your own backyard. Just like the pros when they begin their career.
As for now, running it with both DLCs and the newest Russmap, I haven’t found any issues yet, despite some moaning in the game log about some city data. I keep you posted if this grows into an actual problem, but it doesn’t seem to at this point.

HELP!!!!!!!!!! Doesn’t work. I launched it with the regular profile. But then it crashed. Launched it with a new profile! But it wasn’t there. Windows won’t even let me drag them into the ets2 mods folder because it says there is some kind of error. On my regular profile, I had promods and rusmap installed. Any help?
If I’m not completely mistaken, Promods and TSM don’t work together since they share large portions of the map. So it’s either, or.

It’s been a year since trucksim has only updated a few shots and compatibility updates to the new versions of ETS2. I know some or many of you may be anxious when will they make a major update. The map overall hasn’t changed but as soon as possible the team finally gets a new major update of the map.
According to the tsm forum and sources they finally have the Trucksim Map 6.2, but still on the tests. It includes the major reconstruction and expansion of Egypt and Cairo. It’s here https://plus.google.com/+Trucksim-map/posts/45QJbJm1DYU but we don’t know when it will be released but as of everyone let’s keep our fingers crossed.

I installed the .scs mod file and activated it. Does it have to be the first priority of the Mod Manager? So far it doesn’t show the additional map or cities. I have had TSM before and it worked fine. I will wait and see if when I get back into the main ETS2 map (I’m currently in Norway (Scandinavia DLC). I read in the instructions above that I have to start a new profile, I don’t want to do that since I’m at level 63 (Legend). The ETS2 version I’m running is Beta 1.22. I am also running a Freightliner, Volvo VNL and Jazzycat trailer mods
Update …. I have been running loads all the way down to Italy, and now heading over to Calais, France. The TSM Map Mod 6.1.1 is not coming up.

Found something I didn’t like. I had a 22 ton load with a 70 h.p. Freightliner and got stuck trying to climb a hill on “hairpin” road. This was between Tunis and Hebira. I had to just quit the game and give up. This is something I hardly ever do.

You right you can put it more to east, but you loose the connection suez later.
i dont agree with you in more Things: 1400 Hours and 3,5 months are not “to fast”.
cairo is only town i know, runs in full detail on 60 FPS, chack your other Mods. The town is really optimized ..

I recommend trying to disable those trailer mods at first buddy!
